In year 2009 110 billion rubles will be allocated for development of shipbuilding industry

In March 2009 the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held a meeting “A question of civil sea equipment development”. During this event a strategy of future industrial development was worked out.

During the meeting Vladimir Putin declared that the total investment of Russia for high-tech elements in this year will be about 800 billion rubles. According to Premier’s words it is not enough but still there is some progress. The share for shipbuilding industry will be 110 billion rubles.

In support of this one of shipyards of Saint-Petersburg received a government work for building of trawler. The trawler’s body (75 meters) should be of one piece and produced from glass fiber plastic.
