Last year several new factories producing fiberglass pipes were open in Russia

 19 March, 2009 near Saint-Petersburg an official presentation of SUMI-LON Ltd new GRP pipe plant took place. This is a new type of production for this region. The founders of SUMI-LON are two Japan corporations SUMITOMO CORPORATION and SEKISUI CHEMICAL Co Ltd and a Russian engineering company VODOKANALSTROY.

     

Today the first stage of the project is fulfilled. It includes the installation of one production line with the output of 3000 tones of pipes per year. The second line with the output of 6000 tones per year should be open at the end of year 2009. The third stage of the project intends to open the third line with the output of 6000 tones per year. All three lines give the company an output of 15000 tones per year. The pipes will be used in water pipe and sewerage systems.
