Remarkable event on Russian glass linen market

The whole investment into this project including building construction, production equipment and infrastructure was 40 million Euro. The product of the plant will be mostly used for production of PVC linoleum, paint glass linen and fused liquid roofing. The glass linen production will be about 8% of concern turnover.
The time of project realization was only 790 days starting from the day when the decision of the investment was made till the moment of the first roll production.
The reasons why this plant was constructed are the following:

• the recourses availability (gas, water, electricity),
• convenient location both for deliveries from Finland ant to the customers,
• great support of Tver region administration.

“Ahlstrom-Tver Ltd” became the first proper plant of concern Ahlstrom in Russia which helped it to become the 3rd company-producer of  nonwoven fabric in the world after Freudenberg and DuPont, leaving behind PGI, Johns Manville and Owens Corning.
