Russian Nano Technology Corporation will take part in production of new composite materials

The review board of Russian Nano Technology Corporation (Rosnano) approved its participating in production of prepregs based on carbon and mineral fibers and nano filled binders.

     

The project provides for producing of large prepreg range in Moscow and Saratov. According to forecasts the output will be about 300 tones in 2011 and will increase up to 4500 tones in 2018.

To arrange the production facility they will create a planning organization with companies-members ROSNANO (48% of authorized fund, 192 million rubles), closed joint-stock company “Chemical Company “Composit” (26% of authorized fund) and closed joint-stock company “Unichimtech-Composit” (26% of authorized fund).

The result of this project in Russia will be a modern competitive industrial production of prepreg based on nonstructural fibers and different binders for production of polymer composite materials and products made of these materials. This will increase the competitiveness of Russian raw materials and composites and their industrial application.
